Ethereal (Artist's Proof II)

Ethereal (Artist's Proof II)
In the stillness of the forest, hiking in central Oregon, I came across a fox. We locked eyes for what seemed like a moment outside of time. Felt like equal parts acknowledgement and curiosity with a lil magic. This sculpture attempts to capture not the scene - but that overwhelming sense of wonder and awe.
On more recent travels I was able to pet the deer roaming around downtown Ashland, which inspired the additional artwork.
Finding harmony between vivid colors, perspective, and the sculptural elements was a fun and frustrating challenge. There’s definitely something here, and i’m excited to explore the work further - especially if it requires spending more time in nature
Only made four pieces this run - two foxes and two deer are ready to ship
